A Turkish delegation headed by the Turkish Consul General in Jerusalem, His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Demir, visited the headquarters of Izhiman Coffee in Beitunia on Thursday.
The delegation was received by the Chairman of Izhiman Coffee, Hajj Mohammad Izhiman, alongside Nasser Izhiman, the company’s Operations Manager, Eng. Fadl Khudair, Factory Manager, and a number of administrative staff.
The delegation included, in addition to Ambassador (Consul General) Demir, the Turkish Commercial Attaché Sabahuddin Terhan, the Cultural Attaché Reha Armemcu, and the Director of the Turkish Cultural Center in Ramallah Abdul Qader Satih, along with his deputy Zainab Nuwara.
During the visit, the delegation toured the factory’s various departments and praised the company’s products and the advancement of its production lines—most notably coffee and chocolate.
Ambassador Demir also commended the presence of numerous Turkish raw food materials and Turkish production lines operating within the Izhiman factory. He thanked Izhiman Coffee for the warm hospitality, noting that he is familiar with the company’s products firsthand, as he is one of its customers in Ramallah.
In turn, Chairman Hajj Mohammad Izhiman welcomed the Turkish delegation and expressed his admiration for the progress of Turkish industries and their leading position globally, emphasizing that Turkish-Palestinian relations are deeply rooted in history and have continued for centuries.
For his part, Operations Manager Nasser Izhiman stated that the company had agreed with Commercial Attaché Sabahuddin Terhan to explore future investment opportunities with relevant Turkish companies. He added that Izhiman Coffee maintains ongoing, active communication with several Turkish firms, and that many essential packaging and labeling materials are imported from Turkey—highlighting the importance of strengthening and building on this economic relationship.
The visit also recalled a cultural meeting that brought both sides together in 2019 in Ramallah on the occasion of International Coffee Day, with both parties agreeing on the importance of holding similar events in the future when health conditions allow.
