On the evening of Saturday, March 4, 2023, Izhiman’s Coffee inaugurated its first branch in Zarqa Governorate, marking the company’s fifth branch in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its sixteenth branch across Palestine and Jordan.

The opening ceremony was attended by Eng. Imad Al-Momani, Mayor of Greater Zarqa Municipality; Mr. Qasem Izhiman, Chief Executive Officer of Izhiman’s Coffee; and Mr. Nasser Izhiman, General Manager of the company, alongside members of the municipal council.

The event was also attended by company executives and staff, representatives from the public and private sectors, and a large gathering of local citizens.

Warm Reception and Expansion Prospects

In his address, Mayor Al-Momani expressed his pleasure at the opening of the new branch, emphasizing the notable success achieved by Izhiman’s Coffee products in both the Palestinian and Jordanian markets.

For his part, CEO Qasem Izhiman extended his gratitude to the Mayor of Zarqa, the municipal council members, and the citizens for their warm reception and strong turnout. He affirmed the company’s intention to open additional branches in Zarqa Governorate, contributing—through its expansion—to the creation of employment opportunities for local youth.

Local Roots with International Quality

Meanwhile, General Manager Nasser Izhiman highlighted that the company produces its coffee in accordance with the highest international quality standards, positioning Izhiman’s Coffee as the largest coffee producer in Palestine. He noted that, within a short period, the company has secured a significant market share and achieved strong competitiveness in Palestine, Jordan, and Bahrain, driven by fair competition and diverse consumer tastes.

He added that this expansion reflects the quality of Palestinian products and their ability to compete with international brands.

Strategic Expansion in Jordan

In the same context, Eng. Fadel Khodair, Deputy General Manager of Izhiman’s Coffee, stated that the opening of the fifth branch in Jordan—and the first in Zarqa—comes as part of the company’s strategic plan to expand across all Jordanian governorates. He affirmed the company’s commitment to offering premium products that meet the highest specifications.

He further explained that the company aims to establish one or more branches in every Jordanian city, strategically located near areas with high customer and wholesale activity, in order to reach the widest possible customer base and effectively meet market needs.

Branch Network and Future Vision

With the opening of the Zarqa branch, Izhiman’s Coffee now operates sixteen branches across Palestine and Jordan, including branches in Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Nablus, Hebron, and the Jordanian capital, Amman.

It is noteworthy that Izhiman’s Coffee celebrated its centennial anniversary two years ago, marking its establishment in Jerusalem in 1920. The company offers a wide range of products, including various types of coffee—such as Turkish, Saudi, Espresso, American, and Colombian—in addition to premium nuts, spices, and chocolates.

As part of its strategic plan based on principles of good governance, Izhiman’s Coffee continues to expand into Arab markets, with aspirations for broader global expansion in the future.
