Friday, November 8, 2019
In celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, Bin Izhiman Stores organized a volunteer campaign in partnership with several municipal councils. The activity took place on the morning of Friday, November 8, 2019, and was carried out in collaboration with the municipalities of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Beitunia, Nablus, and Hebron.
The volunteer event, which saw the participation of more than 60 employees from Bin Izhiman, included cleaning and painting sidewalks, planting dozens of trees and flowers, and installing lighting cables in central areas of the cities.
Anas Suwalah, the marketing manager at Bin Izhiman, stated: “This activity reflects the company’s belief in the importance of volunteer work and offering symbolic public services to the Palestinian community as part of our culture.” He explained that the initiative, titled “His Birth, Belonging, and Giving”, coincided with the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who worked to establish values of cooperation, helping others, and volunteering. Suwalah added that the company hopes this initiative will inspire all Palestinians, individuals and institutions, and demonstrate a sense of responsibility toward the community.
An Annual Initiative
On his part, Abdul-Razzaq Rabea, the branch manager at Bin Izhiman, noted that this volunteer event was the company’s first of its kind, with plans for future activities to follow. He mentioned, “We aim to develop and expand the idea of volunteerism, introducing new and creative concepts each time, avoiding repetition.”
Rabea expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the municipal councils and employees, and hoped that the initiative achieved its intended goals.
The Joy of Giving Is Greater Than the Joy of Receiving
Eng. Fadl Khodair, the manager of Bin Izhiman’s factory, emphasized that the initiative was part of the company’s commitment to its social responsibility, which focuses on developing public facilities, protecting the environment, and engaging with the local community.
